Quick Answer
- Light brush & overgrowth: roughly $500–$2,500 per acre
- Moderately wooded land: roughly $2,500–$5,500 per acre
- Heavily wooded land or stump-dense sites: $5,000+ per acre
- Small jobs (a building site, a fence line, one overgrown corner) are usually quoted flat, not per acre

Those ranges are wide for a reason: no two properties clear the same. Tree density, stump count, terrain, access, and what happens to the debris all move the number. Here's how to think about your project — and why a free 20-minute site visit beats any online calculator.
What Drives Land Clearing Cost
- Vegetation density. Mowing down buckthorn and saplings is fast. Pulling mature stumps is not. The jump from "brushy" to "wooded" is the single biggest price factor.
- Stumps. Removing stumps (versus cutting flush and leaving them) adds real cost but is the right call if you're building, putting in lawn, or ever want to mow there.
- Debris handling. Hauling debris away costs more than piling it for burning (where your county allows it). We quote both options up front with our own dump trailer — no surprise disposal fees.
- Access and terrain. Flat, dry, drive-right-up sites cost less. Wet ground, steep grades, or tight access slow the equipment down.
- Final grade. "Cleared" can mean rough-cleared, or it can mean graded smooth and ready to seed or build. Decide what finished looks like and the quote will match it.

Why We Quote On-Site (Free) Instead of Over the Phone
Anyone who gives you a firm land clearing price without seeing the land is guessing — and protecting themselves by guessing high. We'd rather walk the property with you for 20 minutes, flag exactly what's coming out and what's staying, and hand you a firm written number. We bring our own skid loader, excavation equipment, and dump trailer, so there's no subcontractor markup stacked on top.

Your choice: haul it away with our dump trailer, pile it for burning where allowed, or cut and stack usable firewood. Each option is priced clearly in the quote.
Yes — clearing, stump removal, grading, and full excavation are all in-house, so one crew takes your site from overgrown to build-ready.
